Little Leafs Skate School

The Little Leafs  Youth Hockey Programs have been designed by some of the most experienced hockey instructors in the Midwest.

Session 4 starts March 5th for LL Skate School

Participant in the ...

Our staff brings many years of hockey experience coaching skaters at all amateur levels. The  youth hockey programs are designed from top-to-bottom to develop inexperienced young hockey players ages 3 to 10 years of age. This is the first exposure to ice skating for most children and our programs are structured to make sure it is a positive and fun experience. All of our instructors have a great deal of experience helping kids get started on the right path.

The hockey staff at Leafs Ice Centre will do an initial evaluation of your skater’s abilities to ensure that he or she is placed at the appropriate pre-hockey skill level.

The Little Leafs Youth Hockey Program will provide your skater with the fundamentals for success, a sense of accomplishment and an appreciation for the most exciting sport in the world.

Attire
Learn to Skate skaters should wear long pants, warm jackets or heavy sweaters, mittens or gloves and thin socks, helmets and elbow pads.  Please, no tight jeans or bulky snow pants.  Pre-Hockey skaters must wear full hockey equipment.

Rentals are available for Pre-Hockey 1.  A rent to own option is also available at that level.

Skates
If this is your first time skating, it is best to rent skates for the first session or two. Rental skates are available for $3.00 per class, or the skater may purchase a discount punch card for $20.00 for ten (10) rentals. One pair of thin socks is all that is needed. Double runner skates are not allowed for Skate School classes. When you are ready to purchase a pair of skates, be sure to check with one of our staff for information. As in any sport, good equipment is important to learning skating skills. Cheap skates, purchased at discount stores, will make it hard for the skater to learn!
