Freestyle Classes allow skaters to concentrate on the more sophisticated aspects of the sport, learning advanced jumps and spins, footwork, and choreography. Advanced skaters learn how to win and lose gracefully and how to support each other.

Pre-Freestyle
All skaters who have passed Delta must enroll in this class before signing up for Freestyle 1. All past skills from Alpha will be reviewed. Information on freestyle practice ice, ice etiquette, proper skating attire and care of skates will be covered. Freestyle 1 maneuvers will be introduced. The instructor will determine when the skater is ready to enroll in Freestyle 1.

Freestyle 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Skaters will begin with 20-minutes of power skating and then divide by levels for 30-minutes of instruction for level-specific maneuvers. Each skater will receive two complimentary freestyle contract-ice practice sessions.

Specialty Class (Freestyle 4 and Up)
Each week, a different area of skating will be covered – footwork and connecting steps, choreography, un-captured maneuvers, etc.

The Adult Program (age 14 and up)
follows a nationally recognized format which begins with the basic skills level. Adults are placed into small groups according to ability and progress from level to level at their own pace.
